Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

The best Mexican food I've had to date in Montana. They have a Kim Chee salsa that is amazing. All of the portion are generous as I've always experienced in Mexican restaurants. The meal I got was served fast and hot. All the ingredients were fresh and the staff there was really friendly. This place definitely stands by its reputation as being a great spot. The place is clean and the decor is vibrant and appropriately themed. I am a believer in this place.

Good food, reasonable price, large portions and fair service. Most probably your safest choice for lunch or dinner in Miles City.

I'm glad we found this place as we were traveling through Miles, Montana. It was delicious food and the service was prompt and polite. The salsa was tasty. The only thing I would say is a negative was that they brought my husbands meal with the wrong meat choices, also the rice had a frozen taste. (Maybe they made it ahead of time and froze it.). Also, they were very rushed like we were eating too slow.

Passed through while on a roadtrip. Written address on Yelp is incorrect but the map icon is correct, so we managed to navigate anyway - in a strip mall off S Haynes. Plenty of parking, and the restaurant is pretty large with plenty of seating. We had lunch specials (offered from 11-2 PM) which were great. My husband had the crispy chile rellenos and I had the chicken chipotle, served with flour tortillas, beans and rice. The chicken chipotle had a nice kick to it, and everything was piping hot. The chips and salsas were good, too. The restaurant and bathrooms were pretty clean but I noticed that my silverware and cup were a bit dirty, which always turns me off a bit. Still, totally recommended if you are passing through - way better than a chain place, right? Also, two lunches cost us just $16 (no booze or sodas). Worth it.

My biggest complaint is the price which is over $10 for a very average Montana style Mexican veggie burrito. If you've never had mexican food outside Montana/Dakotas then you might like it more. The salsa was good but nothing special, same goes for the guacamole. This place is charging way above the going rate for Mexican food but are delivering a pretty average product. Waiter was without personality, again nothing special. Bland. There are better food places in town.

On a cross country road trip, yelp led me to Mexico Lindo. I stood in the waiting area while people buzzed around me for about 5 minutes, but when another couple of guys walked in, they were immediately seated. OK. May be the dude just didn't see me. Or thought I was waiting to pay. I after sitting, it took another 10 minutes before anyone took my order. Same dude that skipped me in seating. Hmmmm.... And this is when i went horribly wrong by straying from the recommendations from fellow helpers and instead took the advice of the very waiter who had ignored me twice. He is Mexican and presumably knows the authentic dishes, and he recommended the pollo con arroyo, and I went with it, since I'm from Texas and love the authentic stuff. The chicken is breast meat, so at least it's not "mystery mix" but it's petty bland and not very Mexican. Bleh. May be I would have had a different opinion of I tried something else, but I would not recommend this place.

Plan Jane Mexican. Nothing too exciting on their menu but okay if you are craving generic Mexican.

I ordered the vegetarian enchiladas. I appreciated that the service was very quick, but the food really wasn't great. It was very salty and nothing special on the spectrum of Mexican food. Did not feel worth $12.75 for the entree.

So I didn't expect this place to be a nice sit down restaurant, and went by myself. The servers managed to contain their looks of pity and placed me in a two-seater stall to minimize my embarrassment. The chips come with salsa and another fish of what I can only describe as Mexican kimchee. It's fantastic. I got a beef burrito that was very similar to the ones I'd had in SF's (heavily Hispanic) Mission District. The servers didn't bother me while I enjoyed a book with my meal. When someone(s) decide to take pity on me and become my friends, I'll be going back!

Wish they would move to Billings or have more kids in wind up being able to open a place in Billings because this is a fantastic Mexican restaurant it doesn't have the washed-out flavor so all the white people can have it and not be too spicy for them. Miles City you have a winner here now important for those of you that wanna come and try their food. They're not on the Main Street location at the 500 Main Street there more in towards the new town next to the dollar store

Great food great prices and good service, a slice of Mexico in the heart of cowboy country. It's worth finding it, will be back.

I have eaten at the branch in Glendive more than the one in Miles City, but the quality is always excellent in both restaurants. Your meal will always be fresh and hot...definitely come with an appetite as the portions are generous and the endless supply of freshly toasted tortilla chips in homemade salsa are sure to fill you up. The Miles City location is especially nice because of the vibrant atmosphere and decor. I recommend the burrito Montana with chicken for anyone debating on which dish to try first, but I'm sure all of their food is great. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality you receive.

Excellent! Fresh ingredients, best Mexican food I have had since Texas.

Very good prices and quite good food, with fast and friendly service. I had chicken fajitas and my wife had enchiladas. Wherever we travel we try the local Mexican food. This matched up favorably. The guacamole was fine but not great. The house salsa was unique in a good way. We were quite surprised to find this place in Miles City.

Was told by a man at the hotel that it had closed and been replaced with a Chinese Restaurant......this was in Miles City, MT...Is there another location?

A large menu selection and great service with reasonable prices. The enchiladas verde with chicken were good as well as the molcajete chicken.

The current address is 717 S. Haynes Ave. I'm a regular customer because it is sooooo great. Actually I'm addicted to it as are most of the people in the area. Authentic Mexican food. I'm a wimp and don't eat spicy hot food, and there's no problem here. People who like spicy hot food enjoy it too. I usually order chicken fajitas but also love their burritos (I get the Burrito Lindo). I haven't tried too many other items because I can't pass up my two regular choices, though I've been eating there for MANY years. The service is fantastic - great people.. Prices very reasonable.

Good Mexican food for middle of nowhere. Service is awesome here they give you two types of salsa with your chips and there is a lot of options on the menu almost too many.
(4)Nadav K.
Every Mexican place serves standard chips and salsa when you sit down. This place also serves up another bowl of a different salsa packed with cabbage and other veggies. It was delicious. I had the spinach enchiladas for lunch and they were great. They serve whole kidney beans with those and seasoned rice. I like the whole beans much better than the refried-mush most other places serve.

The address is wrong on Yelp, they are at 717 S. Haynes. We went for early lunch on Sunday. The decor is very attractive, the chairs have pretty designs that my daughter was loving, and you can tell from the small details that they worked hard at it. Even down to the sinks in the bathroom. We were there right around 11:30 and people were already carrying out. by the time we left at 12:30 it was pretty full. The service was prompt and courteous. Chips, salsas and water were delivered as we sat down. The food came fast, hot and delicious. I had the fajita quesadilla and James had the Montana Burrito. both were large portions but tasted so good we couldn't help but finish them (I almost never do that!). If you like spicy food you might want to request it that way or add the hot sauce on the table. They seem to tone down the spice to suit the area. We really enjoyed our meal and recommend Mexico Lindo.

This is definitely on my top 5 restaurants list! It's my favorite place to eat at when I'm in Miles City, they have amazing food and a super fun atmosphere. :)
(5)Ashley P.
This place is awesome. Not only because it's the only Mexican restaurant in this particular town. But because IT IS AWESOME.
(5)Francisco M.
Nom nom nom nom nom! The molcajete (beef) is fantastic. They very clearly follow traditional recipes here. Chips, salsa, tortillas - all very tasty.
(5)Taylor H.
Best Mexican food I've had this far up north ! Great service reasonable prices !
(5)Kayal J.
Good mexican food. Run by Hispanic owners. The place is huge and decorated in the mexican tradition. The salsa is good . Prompt service. One of the owners, though is not friendly, pays attention to detail. Got what we ordered.
(4)Ethan H.
The Molcajete was wonderful, and really made us glad that we didn't just stop at the first place off the interstate. Mexico Lindo is great for a pit stop and well worth the (short) trip to the center of town. But c'mon dude! Did you really have to charge us for the extra tortillas?
(3)Coalt R.
One of the best Mexican places I have been! The chips and salsa were great. Try the burrito lindo!
(5)Kelicia S.
I've always had great food here, of course I always order the Spinach Burrito! My family's food is always good too. Nice large menu, with items that are not run of the mill mexican. They serve some mexican beer too. The salsa with the cabbage in it is my favorite (I like mild things). Have always experienced good service and hot food.
(5)Bartholomew H.
Nice place, I went on a Saturday night and it was almost empty. Got the tacos, assumed they were soft shell but they were hard. Still I soldiered on and the meal was pretty good. Nice enough people. A good middle of nowhere place. They didn't bring us the guacomole that we ordered, but it ended up okay because we were too full to eat any more by the time we noticed the missing guacamole.
(4)Dan P.
Very nice restaurant. Good food. I was glad to come across it after getting off the interstate looking for some lunch.
(3)Matt H.
The location is great and there is plenty of parking! They need it too, the restaurant is very popular for its sizzling hot food, fresh chips and salsa before your meal, and very large portions. An new one may be going up in a nearby town. Try #69-The Enchilada Tampico with shrimp and crab under a blanket of mushroom sauce. Don't like seafood? Try the Enchiladas, I love the shredded beef one.
(5)Sean P.
This place is really good, I would recommend it to anyone. The owner was very appreciative for the business. We stop in here about three times a week when we are traveling from North Dakota to WY and he remembers our names and what we like to drink.
(4)Tom K.
Traveling through, food was very good. Service was prompt and portions were large. Grandson said flan was exceptional. I enjoyed the flan too.
(4)Morgan P.
Living in Miles City it's nice to have something more interesting than steak and potatoes now and again. Luis and the rest of the staff do a great job getting your order out quick. Their new place is spacious and comfortable so anyone who likes Mexican food will love Mexico Lindo.
